Emerging from the UK underground, Molly Karloff sit in the heavier, dirtier end of alternative rock — where riffs, groove and songs come first, and image comes a distant second. Their sound pulls from the darker side of modern rock, taking cues from bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, but stripped back and sharpened until only what matters is left.
Their debut album Breaking Out was recorded by Grammy-winning producer Mike Exeter and earned strong national and specialist support, including an 8/10 review from Classic Rock Magazine. Earlier, the band’s single “She Said” spent three weeks on Planet Rock Radio’s main playlist in February 2021, receiving daily plays — often during breakfast and drivetime.

Molly Karloff were born out of boredom with regurgitated, vacuous, empty-headed music — tired clichés about getting laid, getting wasted, and shouting about being rock ’n’ roll. It looked fake forty years ago, and it feels just as fake now.
The band’s heads were turned by the alt-rock and grunge bands of the 1990s and 2000s — artists who mixed things up, didn’t do what you expected, and stared uncomfortable truth and emotion straight in the face. These bands weren’t pretending life was a party. That outlook stuck. It’s how Molly Karloff see the world too.
Molly Karloff write heavy music that comes from the same place: frustration, pressure, and the need to push back against bullshit rather than celebrate it.
The riffs hit hard, the bass thuds, and the guitars snarl — songs built to drag you into the room, not talk down to you. The lyrics deal with identity, resistance and tension, and give the middle finger to power without preaching. Molly Karloff aren’t here to lecture — they reflect the mess, the weight and the grit people are actually living with.
For audiences, Molly Karloff are about being in it. Packed rooms. Bodies pressed together. The low end rattling your chest. Riffs you feel in your gut before you’ve had time to think about them.
